Hot Meals
School Lunches – Hot Meals Scheme
The Hot Meals Scheme is a Department of Social Protection initiative that provides a free, healthy, and nutritious hot lunch to every primary school child. The aim is to support children’s well-being, encourage healthy eating habits, and ensure that no child goes without a substantial meal during the school day. Meals are prepared to meet nutritional standards and are delivered daily by an approved provider.
This year, our hot school lunches will be provided by freshtoday.
A separate email will be sent to new parents/ guardians with full details on how the system will work. Children already enrolled in the school may continue to log in with their usual details.
Please note that Junior Infant hot lunches will begin on Monday 15th September 2025. Until then, Junior Infants will receive two snacks before the 11am break but parents may wish to provide some extra food to supplement this.
We look forward to another year of healthy, tasty lunches for all our pupils.
Healthy Eating - We promote a healthy eating policy in our school. Please note that crisps, sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks and chewing gum are not permitted at school. Please refrain from offering your child nuts or peanuts at school. Staff and children with nut allergies attend the school.
