Our mission at Scoil Réalt na Mara, Cromane, is to provide a high-quality, holistic education through the Primary School Curriculum that empowers every child to thrive academically, physically, socially, emotionally and morally. We are committed to innovative teaching practices, a strong focus on well-being, cultivating a sense of belonging and respect for diversity.

We offer Religious Education to students according to the teachings, practices and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. The Catholic ethos of the school ensures that the spiritual and moral welfare of the children is nurtured during their formative years. We help them appreciate their unique worth and dignity, fostering in them respect for themselves, for others and for their environment.

At Scoil Réalt na Mara, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive school where all children, including the children in our Autism Classes, receive the support they need to reach their full potential. Our Autism Classes provide a structured, nurturing environment that promotes learning, independence and meaningful participation in school life. We prioritise the well-being of all students and are committed to ensuring that children with additional needs receive exceptional care, tailored learning opportunities and access to a fully inclusive school experience.

Scoil Réalt na Mara encourages our pupils to respect diversity, be environmentally aware and develop an appreciation of our global community.

We recognise that parents are the primary educators of their children, and our school works in close partnership with families to support their child's learning journey. We value strong home-school collaboration and actively encourage parental involvement through open communication and participation in the Parents’ Association.

Through staff development programmes, we strive to promote the professional and personal growth of our team, ensuring the highest standards of education and care for our pupils.

The Board of Management collaborates closely with the principal to support the needs of both staff and children, now and in the future.
