Principal's Welcome

On behalf of everyone in the Scoil Réalt na Mara community -  members of the Board of Management, teachers, SNAs, secretary, caretaker and cleaning staff, parents and pupils - I warmly welcome you to our school website. I hope it gives you an insight into the spirit and daily life of our wonderful school.

Scoil Réalt na Mara is a mixed Catholic primary school situated in beautiful Cromane, Co. Kerry, surrounded by the sea and mountains. Our school has been at the heart of the local community for generations, providing education, care and support to children and their families.

It is a privilege to be Principal of Scoil Réalt na Mara. We promote a culture of inclusion where every child’s needs are met and each pupil’s gifts and talents are nurtured. Our Catholic ethos means we are open and welcoming to children of all faiths and none. Respect, kindness, fairness and a strong sense of community are values that guide everything we do. We aim to foster the intellectual, physical, creative, social and emotional growth of our pupils alongside their spiritual and moral development.

Our school building provides bright, modern classrooms, well-resourced support rooms, a general purpose hall, sensory spaces, outdoor play areas and two Autism classes that are an integral part of our school community. We are constantly working to provide a learning environment where children feel safe, happy, and inspired to learn.

At Scoil Réalt na Mara, our dedicated and enthusiastic staff strive to create a culture where learning flourishes and every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. We are very fortunate to have such a supportive parent community and we thank all parents who place their trust in us to guide and educate their children.
