What does our Board of Management do?
The Board of Management is responsible for the overall running of our school. It works in partnership with the principal, staff, parents and the wider community to make sure the school is well-managed and provides the best possible education for our pupils.
The Board of Management looks after areas such as:
- Supporting teaching and learning
- Managing the school’s finances and resources
- Overseeing maintenance of the school building and grounds
- Ensuring compliance with Department of Education and Youth regulations and policies
- Supporting the well-being and safety of pupils and staff
Members of the Board serve on a voluntary basis and meet regularly throughout the year. They play a vital role in planning for the future of the school and in making decisions that benefit the whole school community.
Our Board of Management is constituted in accordance with the rules of the Department of Education and Youth. It has eight members who are appointed for a period of four years.
