Welcome to Cromane National School

Scoil Realt na Mara, Cromane National School was founded in 1886 as separate Boys’ and Girls’ national schools to provide education for the children living on the western side of the Parish of Killorglin. The schools amalgamated in 1967 and moved to a new building in 1986.

The Catholic ethos of the school is inclusive and all pupils are equally welcome.

Vision and Mission Statement

  1. Scoil Realt na Mara exists to promote, through education, the balanced growth of each of the pupils.
  2. The school sees education as providing both a grounding in the basics of literacy and numeracy as well as nurturing the moral, physical, emotional, spiritual, aesthetic and creative faculties of the child.
